Our thanks to two great guest speakers who visited our classroom today to discuss current trends and topics affecting the public relations and event management industry.
Our first speaker, Jeannie Maidens (shown above), is a Loyalist PR grad. She is now the Special Events Coordinator for the Town of Port Hope. Jeannie presented to students about grant writing, and how to apply this specialized skill set in the field of PR and events.
Our afternoon speaker, Agatha Podgorski (above), is the Director of Community Engagement with the Culinary Tourism Alliance. Agatha provided a lively presentation on connecting with social influencers and brand-building through influencer outreach.
