Laughter yoga releases mid-semester stress

Each year at this time, Loyalist PR students engage in a fall stress management workshop to help release some of the stress resulting from the pressures of course work, social/family life and general issues. 

This year, Loyalist PR student Luisa Sorrentino, a certified Laughter Yoga instructor, guided us through a fun afternoon of laughs and stress release.

Laughter yoga is a practice involving voluntary laughter, and is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides the same physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter. Laughter yoga is done in groups, with eye contact and playfulness between participants.

The fact that the laughter yoga workshop coincided with our class Halloween party made the afternoon all the more hilarious.
