The School of Media at Loyalist College is inviting its students, faculty and staff to attend the 3rd annual Marketwire Media Mash-Up on Wednesday October, 20, 2010 in the Shark Tank Pub from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
This year’s event is presented by Marketwire, and sponsored by Procter & Gamble, QuintEssential Credit Union, Boom Marketing and Japan Camera.
Tickets are now on sale at a cost of $5 each. The price of attending this year’s Media Mash-Up includes a delicious buffet, musical entertainment provided by student and faculty musicians, as well as loads of fantastic prizes. A cash bar will also be available. Tickets are available in the cafeteria (when student sellers are available) or in Room 1N1 (the PR classroom).
Among the many great prizes that will be handed out at this year’s Media Mash-Up are: cash prizes of $200 and $100 (courtesy of QuintEssential Credit Union), monthly bus passes from Belleville Transit, Belleville Bulls tickets, CDs from Sam the Record Man, tickets for the Galaxy (Cineplex) theatre, a season’s pass and several single tickets to the Quinte Film Alternative, a wide range of products from Procter & Gamble and Boom Marketing and much more.
"I'm very excited," said Professor Joe Callahan, a member of the Media Mash-Up Organizing Committee. "We have lots of talented musicians at Loyalist and Mash-up gives students a place to play. There's a lot of energy."
Every year of Media Mash-Up has sold out, and this year is expected to do the same, so participants are encouraged to get their tickets early.
